Anime

I’m not a big fan of Japanese anime, but when I was in primary school I was crazy about anime and comics. Gradually I lost my interest in watching or reading them, and just catch one episode of Detective Conan or two. One anime I used to love watching is called Cat’s Eye, which was premiered in Japan in 1983 or so. The first impression of it when I watched it in primary school is the depiction of human figures is so different than other anime. Probably straight guys would love it because of those three extremely hot sisters in the show. Partly due to nolstagia, and somewhat I kinda wanna know what the ending is, so I started watching it online recently.

The new feeling I got from anime is, though, after 20 minutes of the show, everything around me, the real world, seems too realistic. When I closed the anime and looked out of the window, I could even feel my body trembling. It's like I'm escaping from a world where people and the world were simplified and reduced to color patches, surfaces, and solid lines, to a place where every little thing is incredibly detailed. In anime, a stone is a stone, probably a round shape with gray color and that's it; but when looking at a real stone, the grains, the dots, and the every slight change of colors, everything seems to have a mysterious and infinite world in it. Even thinking that no matter how small a thing is, there's something unknown, while they're stuffing everywhere in this world, makes me tremble. Those things could be the reason why the world is a wonderful place, but it could also be a reason why it is horrific.

This transition is an amazing experience, but also a little daunting. When watching anime, we were living in a dream where everything could happen, but now we are back to a reality where all the rules apply, and it's just so overwhelming I don't know where to stay.
